An annual event in Lawrence County gets underway today.
The 57th Annual Apple Butter Making Days is taking place in Mt Vernon. Brittni Bates, Director of the Mt Vernon Chamber of Commerce, says during an interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program that there will be several different types of Apple Butter including Carmel and Peach that will be made in the morning and be available for purchase. Several different contests and events will also take place along with entertainment.
The event runs today and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm on the square in Mt Vernon.
