Saturday saw heavier rain hit the Lakes Region along with severe thunderstorms.
Several utilities reported power outages at times late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Most power has been restored as of 7:30 Sunday morning.
Lightning is suspected to be the cause of a house fire in northern Carroll County early Sunday morning. According to Oak Grove Grove Fire and Rescue's Facebook Page, just after 1:00 am, crews responded to a report of a lightning strike on the house on County Road 826. Firefighters from Green Forest and Southern Stone County assisted on the scene. The post indicates that all occupants of the house were safe and accounted for.
Several Severe Thunderstorm and Flash Flood Warnings were issued for the Lakes Region with areas around Cassville in Barry County reporting several inches of rain with several road being flooded. Hail up to a quarter size was also reported with the storms.
The rain pattern is expected to continue for the next week in the Lakes Region.
