The school year hasn’t even started, but one bus is already making a difference for incoming Stone County students.
Unite Table Rock Lake with their ‘Stuff the Bus’ event at the Branson West Walmart on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 4. School supplies collected during the event will be distributed at the Stone County School Readiness Fair this Friday.
Unite Table Rock Lake Founder Carrie Padilla said the partnership with Wal-Mart for the ‘Stuff the Bus’ event is a chance for residents to give even a small amount to help the students in Stone County schools.
“Volunteers are giving of their time. Our Branson West Walmart has chosen Unite Table Rock Lake to participate in the ‘Stuff the Bus’ event again this year,” Padilla said. “This was a great opportunity to get a lot of donations for the Stone County School Readiness Fair on Aug. 9 at the New Testament Church.”
