An area Thanksgiving Tradition takes place again this year in Stone County.
According to a release from the Reeds Spring School District, a free Thanksgiving meal is available to anyone on Thursday, November 28. A school district food service worker, Shirley Mease, and her family will prepare and serve the meal from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Reeds Spring High School.
Delivery is available if you can not attend in person. For those wanting delivery, please call Shirley at 417-337-3414 before November 26.
According to past reporting, the Thanksgiving meal was started by Mease and her family in 2009 for people who didn't have a place to spend the holiday. The event has grown over the years and while it has been hosted on school property each year, this is the first year the event will be held at the High School.
