An event that has helped bring people back to a town that had closed down returns next month.
The third annual Snowball Adventure Race takes place May 13 and is a triathlon which includes running, floating, and bicycling from Snowball to areas of the Buffalo National River. Two of the organizers of the event, Rachel Norton and Cassie Fisher, joined KHOZ's "Around the Table" program to discuss the development of the event and how it has led to more activities around the town northwest of Marshall in Searcy County that had been pretty much abandoned for several decades. Norton and Fisher also talked about the kids version of the event and a music festival that will happen later in the day in nearby Eula.
Complete information including the full interview with Rachel Norton and Cassie Fisher can be seen on the Around the Table Facebook Page.
