Travelers along Highway 65 in Ozark may have noticed extra activity on Tuesday.
The Ozark Police Department had announced earlier that the day would be a work zone enforcement day with officers focusing on the work zone along Highway 65 extending the road to three lanes through the city. A post on the department’s Facebook page stated that 23 drivers had been pulled over and ticketed for speeding in the work zone between 9 am and Noon.
Meanwhile, another issue near Highway 65 kept firefighters busy as a gas leak occurred during the Noon Hour on 18th Street which parallels 65 north of Jackson Street. Fire crews along with Spire Utility crews spent two hours fixing the leak which did impact a few businesses in the area.
