William (Wild Bill) Thomas Blankenship Jr, age 68, Branson, Missouri
William (Wild Bill) Thomas Blankenship Jr. was born in Bloomington, Illinois to Norma and William (Tom) Blankenship, Sr. on January 1, 1955. He went home to be with the Lord and family on June 25, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Donna Lynne Blankenship, married May 23, 1980 in Illinois.
William moved from Bloomington, Illinois in 1991 to Branson, Missouri. He worked at Grand Country Buffet for 16 years, Denny’s for 15 years, and was a very hard worker. He worked at various other restaurants in Illinois and Branson, Missouri. He was always noted to be in his green camo army jacket and would have people shout out “Hi, Wild Bill”.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Tom Sr. and Norma Blankenship, a sister Gloria Jean Carey, aunts, and uncles.
He is also survived by his sister Peggy (Paul) Durbin in Illinois, brother Allen Blankenship in Illinois, and half-brother Steve Blackwell in Alabama. He was well liked by everyone and will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory at 1638 East State Highway 76, Branson, Missouri 65616, on Saturday, July 15, 2023. It will be a time of visitation and remembering from 1-2:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to come!
