Patricia Louise (White) Eckley, age 69, passed away on November 22, 2025.
Patricia Louise (White) Eckley, lovingly known as Patti, passed away on November 20, 2025, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House surrounded by family. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, adventure, and deep love. She was born on August 22, 1956, in Morris, Illinois, to Richard Delmar White and Betty Christine (Murphy) White.
Patti is survived by her children, Brad (Win) Eckley and Paula (Ira) Dillard; her grandchildren, Kyra Christine Dillard, Dalton Paul Dillard, Auston Paul Eckley, and Shazierra Jean Eckley; and her great-grandchildren, Aspen Dillard, Asher Dillard, Grayson Dillard, Clark Parrish, and Wrenly Garland. She also leaves behind her sisters, Pamela Turner (Mark) and Peggi McCloskey; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.
Patti lived her life with grit, humor, and a fearless spirit. An avid bowler, she found joy and community in the sport she loved. She had a deep affection for animals — especially her beloved Bella dog — and she loved to travel. One of her most treasured life experiences was traveling to Yellowstone for a bucket list trip with her sister, Pam. They had the time of their lives and Patti reflected on it often. She loved Yellowstone so much that she traveled there and spent a summer as a reservation specialist there staying in a dorm, like a college kid, with a roommate.
Growing up in the farm country of Illinois, Patti made lifelong memories with her cousins and carried that love of the outdoors into adulthood. She was a tomboy at heart, happiest fishing and playing sports like basketball and softball. She loved the Steelers and the White Sox. She also had a healthy love of all things Nascar. Her adventurous nature and love for the open air never faded.
Patti worked for 30 years at MicroPlastics and retired at the age of 62. Even in retirement, she stayed active and social, playing cards every week with her best friends, Jeanna and Arlinda. Her friendships, her family, and the simple joys of life were at the center of who she was.
Patti will be remembered for her strength, warmth, loyalty, and laughter — and for the way she loved her family without hesitation. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Patti this spring after the weather is warmer. She loved the outdoors, and we would like to celebrate her outside when the weather is nice this spring.
