He was known for his woodworking skills, crafting beautiful guitars by hand, and sharing his love for music through playing, singing, and songwriting. His membership in both the Song Writers Association and the Carpenters Union in California and Arkansas was a reflection of his dedication to his craft. Charles's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Charlie's Cabin and Canoe Rentals with his beloved wife, Mary Lou. Overalls and a cup of coffee, his undeniable trademark. Never too far from his guitar, always ready with a silly song or one of his favorite hymns or a song with an adorable country twang that he had written. Always a garage full of tools and wood and paint and varnish. He could create anything, always with a standard of excellence!
