Candace Moss-Bower, age 78, passed away on November 19, 2025.
Candace Moss-Bower of Cassville, Missouri passed away November 19, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 78.
She was born June 7, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Gordon Thomas Moss and Emma Louise (Bower) Walohia, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her stepfather, Thomas “Scar” Walohia; two brothers, James and John Stotts, and her beloved daughter, Leah Moss, whom she was ready to be reunited with in Heaven.
Surviving are her “best friend,” Stephanie Jacobson, and Stephanie’s family, who were like family to her and distant cousin, Mona Bower. She is also remembered by several loving and caring friends who will deeply miss her fun, warm, and spirited presence.
Candace was raised by her mother and stepfather, Thomas “Scar” Walohia and spent most of her life living in Guam as an “island girl.” She was employed at a United States Air Force base as a clerical secretary for several years. Candace was a member of First Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate Candace’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fohn Funeral Home for Candace’s final expenses.
