Another shake-up in Missouri School Conferences, this time involving some smaller schools in the region.
In a release on Thursday, officials from seven schools announce the formation of the Greater Ozarks Conference. Area schools Crane and Spokane are in the group for the new conference along with Billings, and Pleasant Hope. Also joining the new league is Marion C Early from Morrisville and Springfield schools Greenwood and New Covenant Academy.
Four of the schools are leaving area conferences, with Billings, Crane, and Spokane departing the Southwest Central League and New Covenant leaving the Mark Twain Conference.
The new league will begin play in the 2024-25 school year.
