Tonight’s high school football games will include special fundraisers at two sites.
Christian Action Ministries will conduct “Tackle Hunger” Food Drives at the home openers for Branson and Hollister. Fans attending the game can bring non-perishable food items or money donations to the food pantry. CAM Executive Director Michele Dean, during an interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program says that the food and money raised during these drives will go to the pantries efforts to help families in Taney County. CAM is working with the Reeds Spring School District to get a similar drive their sometime later this month.
As for football, it is conference openers for all Missouri teams. The Pirates will host Bolivar to start Ozark Mountain Conference play while the Tigers will renew their rivalry with Forsyth in their Mid-Lakes Conference opener.
In other games, Reeds Spring is on the road at Clever in Mid-Lakes play while Harrison wraps-up their non-conference season at home against Searcy.
