The Winter Sports Luncheon for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame featured inductions with connections to the Lakes Region.

The State Championship Basketball Team of the 1972-73 Season was inducted. Led by the late Charlie Campbell, a 2003 Hall of Fame Inductee, the Panthers secured the Class S State Championship with a win over Advance in the title game. Campbell retired after that season and began a long career as a pro angler. Several members of the team were on hand for the ceremony.

In addition, Mike Wilson, who guided the Panther Program from 1992-99, was part of this induction class. Wilson, a College of the Ozarks Graduate, coached in Sparta prior to coming to Forsyth and later coached at Hartville, Strafford, and Willow Springs. Wilson, currently the Athletic Director at Hollister, led four teams into the final four including the 1993 Panther squad.
