A woman from Texas has died after a tree hit a utility vehicle in which she was a passenger.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Saturday afternoon on Stallion Bluff Road a mile northwest of Shell Knob in Barry County when a tree fell on the UTV while it was in motion.
80-year-old Penny Hons was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the UTV, 80-year-old Douglas Holley of Shell Knob, sustained moderate injuries that were treated at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
