A woman from Northwest Missouri dies after a golf cart she was a passenger in overturns at a Lakes Area Resort.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at Black Oak Resort in Lampe when the golf cart rounded a curve going off the roadway striking a tree and overturning.
Both the driver and passenger were thrown from the golf cart with 57-year-old Lisa Ilsley of Fairfax sustaining critical injuries which see died off later at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the cart, 57-year-old William Isley, was not reported injured but was tested for alcohol as required by state law.
This is the 80th Fatality Accident worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol this year.
