Emergency Personnel respond to Silver Dollar City early Wednesday evening after the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train derailed.
According to reports from our media partners at Ozarks First, Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, MSHP, and Mercy ambulances were present at the scene as of 6:50 pm, according to an Ozarks First photographer on site. Video posted on the Ozarks First Website also indicates Taney County Ambulance District vehicles were on site.
Stone County’s Office of Emergency Management Director Tom Martin confirmed the incident involving a train to Ozarks First on the scene. Martin said 3-4 passengers were taken to hospitals by ambulance, but no one had life-threatening injuries.
Ozarks First Anchor Bailey Strohl spoke with a passenger on the train who described the accident and that a number of cars were on their side.
