Where: Mt. Vernon Street (Missouri Route 14) traffic shifted to head-to-head configuration in the westbound lanes at Main Street in Nixa
When: Tuesday, July 26
What: Contract crews to widen Route 14 as part of the Mt. Vernon Street (Missouri Route 14) Widening Project in Nixa
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic will be in a head-to-head configuration in the Route 14 westbound lanes
- Intersection of South Main Street and Route 14 will be CLOSED
- Intersection of North Main Street and Route 14 is open
- Westbound Route 14 traffic can turn north onto North Main Street
- Eastbound Route 14 traffic cannot turn left or right onto Main Street
- Southbound North Main Street traffic can turn west onto Route 14
- Southbound North Main Street traffic cannot turn east onto Route 14
- There will be no signal at the intersection of Route 14 and Main Street
- Side streets and sidewalks CLOSED at times
- Business entrances closed half at a time or closed one at a time, if two or more entrances exist
- Drivers may encounter flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews are working
- Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
