TikTok returned ahead of a coming executive order by the incoming president.
According to ozarksfirst.com, President-Elect Donald Trump stated he would use his executive power to freeze the ban on his first day back as president. This comes after the app shutdown as a result of federal action. Trump revealed his intention to delay the ban on social media.
The post is on his Truth Social account. He mentioned the hope of striking a deal to ensure the health of the nation's security. Meanwhile, the order protects some businesses.
"The order will also confirm that there will be no liability for any company that helped keep TikTok from going dark before my order," Trump said in the post. Trump also included some of his vision for TikTok.
