James River Church in Ozark was near capacity on Saturday with mourners paying their final respects to two Christian County Deputies that were killed in the line of duty this past week.
Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader said in a post on the department's Facebook page that over 1,000 law enforcement officers from Missouri and other states showed up to pay their respects to Officers Gabriel Ramirez and Michael Hislope who will killed in last Monday's incident that injured two other deputies. The shooter in the incident, Richard Bird, was killed in the final shootout.
Rader added that many citizens lined the road for processional that followed the services as the bodies of Ramirez and Hislope taken back to the funeral home.
