The Taney County Death Total during the COVID-19 Pandemic has reached 190 residents.
According to a release from the Taney County Health Department, nine more deaths have been added to the total, seven in the first two months of this year plus two from 2021 of residents who were out of state at the time they passed away, delaying the reconciliation of numbers from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the Taney County Coroner.
According to the release, three individuals were in their 40's, one in their 50's, two each in their 60's and 70's, and one in their 90's.
The Taney County Health Department still encourages vaccination as the best way to prevent the spread of the virus. The Health Department announced earlier this week that they are closing their vaccination clinic at Branson Meadows at the end of the month but will continue to give shots at their offices in Branson and Forsyth.
