A passenger on a motorcycle dies in a crash in Stone County Wednesday night.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 160 north of Reeds Spring when the motorcycle driven by a 53-year-old man from Nixa failed to negotiate a curve on a roundabout hitting a curb and overturning. The man was not reported as injured however a 51-year-old woman from Nixa who was a passenger on the motorcycle was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield in critical condition where she later died.
This the 59th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2025.
