The beginning of the Firearms Deer Season in Missouri is the subject of the current Missouri Department of Conservation Podcast.
Stone County Agent Kearby Bridges reminds hunters of the season that begins Saturday (11/13) and goes through 11/24.
Having proper tags and wearing Hunter Orange are among the reminders for hunters. Bridges also reminds hunters in Barry, Christian, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties that testing for Chronic Wasting Disease is mandatory the first two days of the season and optional for the remainder of the season.
