The Lyric Theatre is showing a four-character-play at the end of this month.
Shelby Waters and Emma Bock appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the show, stylized as "lower case." Bock said 'lower case" is about a guy who's "fed up with the midlife dating scene." She said the man and his older sister make a bet that he will employ a mistress.
He has no clue how to go about hiring one, so he instead employs Meredith who is played by Bock. Meredith is an actress pretending she's a mistress. The show runs from June 29 through July 2. The weekday and Saturday showings start at 7 p.m. and the Sunday showing is at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the door.
Bock said that she has had fun with this role. "It's the first role that I've ever played where I'm not around my actual age," Bock said.
She added that her character is about 35 and said she recently turned 16. Bock also talked about her history with acted but added that she's not certain if acting is what she wants to do in the future.
The full interview with Bock and Waters is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
