Law Enforcement Agencies continue to warn area residents about ongoing scams.

The latest warning comes from the Harrison Police Department. According to a release from their Facebook Page, they have received reports of residents getting calls from people that say they represent Law Enforcement and wanting them to pay alleged warrant fees over the phone. The post said some of these calls are falsely representing themselves to be from the Boone County Sherriff's Office.

Harrison officers remind citizens that if a person has an active warrant, they will be instructed to turn themselves in and that would be in person by a uniformed officers.

Law Enforcement agencies across the Lakes Region continue to issue statements about scams and remind people to not give out any personnel of financial information over the phone.
