Beta Upsilon is sponsoring a race to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, according to Haley Markle.
Markle appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday to talk about the Halloween Hustle 5K. It's scheduled for Oct. 19, and there's a $30 registration fee. She said costumes aren't necessary but encouraged. Registration is available online.
The race is in its second year, and there are some new features. It's a timed race with medals to win. Registration will remain open until the event kicks off. Markle said anyone who registers by Oct. 10 will get a t-shirt.
The local Beta Epsilon is connected to Epsilon Sigma Alpha. St. Jude is one organization that the international group helps through all of the chapters.
St. Jude is a research hospital that focuses on cancer in children. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Markle is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
