A new addition several years in the making will become a reality in October.
Chad Cassidy and Glenda Hunt from the Forsyth Senior Friendship Center talked about the new community garden on a recent edition of KRZK'S "Ozarks Now" program. Cassidy said the Grand Opening will take place on Saturday October 11 on the land next to the Farmers and Artisans Market on East Highway 76. Hunt said the location is adjacent to the site of the new Senior Friendship Building currently under construction.
People wanting to rent a space for either fall planting or the opening of growing season in the spring can contact Hunt at 417-844-2113.
The two also talked about the future plans for the new Senior Friendship site plus the continuing growth of the Farmers and Artisans Market that continues through end of October.
