Monday's Meeting of the Forsyth Board of Aldermen has a short agenda but both are major topics.
The Board will continue their discussions on Impeachment proceedings against Mayor Julie Aubuchon.
Aubuchon, who was elected Mayor last April, was confronted by members of the board who said she had created a hostile work environment, and several staff members have left since the beginning of her tenure. The board did vote to censure Aubuchon for her actions late last year and at a recent meeting, allotted money for possible legal action.
This Monday's meeting according to the agenda is to discuss the process of Impeachment and also set possible dates for future proceedings.
The other item that has recently been brought up for citizen discussion is the setting of a Town Hall Meeting regarding the request from Liberty Electric for Expanded Easements. At a recent meeting, several citizens expressed concerns about the program and how it could impact their property in the future.
Monday's meeting will take place at Forsyth City Hall at 6:00 pm.
