City of Branson Orders Shutdown of Motel Property

A motel on the Branson Strip is ordered shutdown for several violations.

The release below is from the City of Branson:

On January 20, 2026, the City of Branson issued a citation to the owner of the 76 Family Inn, located at 3510 W. 76 Country Boulevard, for operating without a business license. Following complaints, the City’s Building Services Division conducted an initial follow-up inspection and issued a Notice and Order for observed code violations.

Today, January 30, 2026, a judge granted an administrative warrant for our Building Services and Fire Prevention inspectors to conduct a thorough inspection of the entire property, with assistance from the Branson Police Department. Based on the inspection completed today, the City has determined the building is unsafe to occupy under the City’s Dangerous Building Ordinance. Under this ordinance, the City has emergency powers to order the property be vacated if there is an immediate danger to the health, safety or welfare of the occupants.

The City is coordinating with community partners to help provide support, shelter, and resources to those impacted. We are grateful for the assistance and cooperation of House of Hope, Salvation Army, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, and appreciate their collaboration during this process.
