CBCO Seeks Regular, New Blood Donors

The Media Relations Representative from the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks discusses the importance of giving the gift of life.

Michelle Teter, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, says that blood donations have had a slow but steady rebound since the COVID-19 Pandemic. Teter encourages people who have never given blood or have not in several years to try it again, the process is easy and appointments can be made online. Teter also says donors in Missouri that give until the end of June can get a t-shirt and two tickets to a Springfield Cardinal Baseball game while supplies last while the offer for donors in Arkansas is for a t-shirt and tickets to a Northwest Arkansas Natural game.

Upcoming Blood Drives in the Lakes Region according to Teter include today at Branson City Hall from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm followed by two next Monday June 17, a Boots, Badges, and Bandages drive in Harrison at First Presbyterian Church from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm along with a drive at First Baptist Church in Forsyth from 1:00 to 6:00 pm.

More details including making appointments to donate blood can be found on the CBCO Website with the complete interview with Michelle Teter available on the Ozarks Now Facebook Page.
