Hollister High School hosted its first ever Band Competition last weekend and it turned out to be a big day for Branson.
According to a release from Branson Schools, the Pirate Pride Marching Band ended up taking first place in both the Class 5 Competition as well as being named Grand Champions for the overall competition.
The band took home top score in five categories in the Class 5 event: Guard, Percussion, Music, Visual, and Effect. They also claimed the top score in four of those categories overall.
Several bands from around the region were part of the competition in Hollister.
