Three vehicles are totaled and one person was airlifted to a Springfield hospital after a Thursday morning traffic crash in Stone County.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, the crash occurred around 9:40 on Highway 13/160 near Reeds Spring when a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old man from Reeds Spring was stopped on the road waiting to turn into a driveway when he was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a 75-year-old Nixa man which then forced the stopped vehicle into another coming the other direction.
The Nixa man was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment while the other drivers were not injured in the crash.
The crash did close the road for time while crews were on the scene.
