Wanda Louise Anderson, age 80, of Seligman, Missouri
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Wanda Louise Anderson, age 80, of Seligman, Missouri passed from this world Friday, April 17, 2026 at Oak Point of Monett in Monett, Missouri, after a lengthy illness.
She was born October 31, 1945 in Gateway, Arkansas, the daughter of Jonathan Sidnee and Martha Myrtle “Myrt” (Twitty) Deans. On December 23, 1961 in Seligman, Missouri she was united in marriage to Donnie Gale Anderson, her “Sweetie,” who preceded her in death May 24, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Henry Deans and John Deans and nephew, Rick Sinclair.
Surviving are her son, Ronnie Paul Anderson and wife JoDee, (her favorite daughter-in-law) of Seligman, Missouri; daughter, Rhonda Kay Murphy and husband Tracy of Sheldon, Missouri; sister, Mary Mason of Avoca, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Donna Deans of Seligman, Missouri; grandchildren, Caleb and Sierra Murphy of Sheldon, Missouri, Tyler Murphy of Sheldon, Missouri, Mandy and Jordan Curtis of Wetumka, Oklahoma, Danny Anderson of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Katie Anderson of Chicago, Illinois; great grandchildren Ryder Curtis, Levi Curtis, Blakeleigh Murphy, Jackie Murphy and one on the way.
Wanda was a lifelong resident of Barry County and a proud graduate of Washburn High School in Washburn, Missouri. She devoted 37 years to First Independent Bank of Seligman, retiring as vice president. Wanda enjoyed working on the farm, playing with her grandchildren and watching NASCAR. She truly loved being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and her children and grandchildren were the greatest joy and most important part of her life. Wanda was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church.
While we mourn our loss of losing her from our world, we rejoice that she is with our Lord and the love of her life, our dad. She is finally pain free. Fly high and well momma, we love you!
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Jim Erwin and Brother Ray Holland will conduct the service. Burial will be at King Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
