 Vera Lanell Smith, age 80, of Aurora, Missouri

         Vera Lanell Smith, age 80, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.

            She was born April 3, 1942 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of E. B. “Billy” and Louise (Bishop) Stockton. On January 12, 1959 in Aurora, Missouri she was united in marriage to Darrel Smith, who preceded her in death on October 12, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

            Surviving are four sons, Marty Smith and his wife Jodi of Aurora, Missouri, Brian Smith and his wife Brenda of Aurora, Missouri, Ronald Smith and his wife Rhonda of Cassville, Missouri and Donald Smith and his wife Debbie of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter Tonya Smith of Aurora, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Megan, Dustin, Jared, Brandon, Charlie, Kendall, Casey and Colby and fourteen great grandchildren.

            Vera grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri. She later attended Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. She was employed by Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville, Missouri as a Certified Medical Technician. Vera enjoyed crafts, crocheting, gardening and canning what she grew in her garden. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Marionville.

            Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rex Mooneyham will conduct the services. Burial will be at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Wednesday at Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora.

            Contributions may be made to Haven of the Ozarks in memory of Vera.
