Beloved son, brother and uncle, Travis McKenzie, 51 of Hollister.

Beloved son, brother and uncle, Travis McKenzie, 51 of Hollister, entered into rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Branson, Missouri.

Travis Wade McKenzie was born to Tom & Elaine (Sharp) McKenzie on May 31, 1971 in Chanute, Kansas.  He was a graduate of Cleveland High School in Oklahoma and continued his education at the University of Oklahoma in Norman and Vatterott College in Tulsa. He was a huge Sooner football fan.  In 1994, Travis moved to Missouri from Tulsa.  He was an avid and accomplished golfer, loved the sport and was able to play and teach everyday as the assistant golf pro at Holiday Hills in Branson.  He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing as well.  Travis was an excellent cook and loved watching Kansas City Chiefs football. He will be deeply missed.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine McKenzie.

He is survived by his father, Tom McKenzie of Branson; his sister, Shana McNish and husband Paul of Nixa; nephews, Kaleb McNish and McKenzie “Mac” McNish and niece Madeline “Mady” McNish as well as many friends and golfing buddies.

Services for Travis will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with the funeral at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Mtn. Grove Cemetery, Branson.
