Shirley Marlene Bowling, age 81, of Fairview, Missouri
Shirley Marlene Bowling, age 81, of Fairview, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Cassville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville, Missouri.
She was born July 13, 1941 in Liberal, Missouri the daughter of Edgar and Daisy (Clanton) Crum. In 1968 she was united in marriage to Claude Edmund Bowling in Miami, Oklahoma, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Claude Dean Bowling and one brother, Arthur Ray Crum.
Surviving are one son, Rick Bowling and his wife Joie of Fairview, Missouri; one daughter, Jeri Crum of Newton County, Missouri; one sister, Betty Howard of Fairview, Missouri; three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Shirley attended school in Liberal, Missouri and graduated from Liberal High School. After moving to the Fairview area in 1969 she went to work for Kraft Foods in Neosho as an egg processor. Shirley enjoyed cooking, bird watching, spending time outdoors taking care of her flowers and most of all, spending time with her family. Shirley was a very independent and strong woman.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Belfast Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
