Ruth Abby Primrose, age 61, of Seligman, Missouri

Ruth Abby Primrose, age 61, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her sister Terry’s home surrounded by her family.

            She was born April 18, 1962 in Atascadero, California the daughter of James and Betty (Cannon) Jensen. On March 30, 1981 she was united in marriage to James Slye and to this union three children were born, Amy, April and Levi. On February 29, 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Phil Primrose, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Tommy Jensen and one brother-in-law, William Skidmore.

Surviving are her children, Amy Quinones of Huntington Beach, California, April Lowe and her husband Dustin of Cassville, Missouri and Levi Slye of Seligman, Missouri. Also surviving are two brothers Jimmy Jensen and Robert Jensen both of California; two sisters, Terry Skidmore of Seligman, Missouri and Karen Carter and her husband Dave of California; four grandchildren Brooklyn Slye, Paydin Slye, Anniliese Quinones and Lily Lowe; two nieces, Monique Tapper and her husband Jarrod and Heather Skidmore and great nieces and nephews, Riley, Kira and Sophia.

            Ruth grew up and attended school in Arroyo Grande, California graduating from Arroyo Grande High School in 1980. She had been employed by Walmart Claims Services in Rogers, Arkansas as a claims adjuster for several years. Ruth’s grandchildren were her pride and joy, she went everywhere with them. She loved celebrations with family, especially birthdays and Christmas. Ruth enjoyed camping, being outdoors, watching the Southwest Varsity Volleyball team, she was their #1 fan, moonlit nights and visiting with everyone, she never met a stranger. She had lived in Seligman for 43 years and was a member of Mission Baptist Church, which she loved.

            Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Mission Baptist Church in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.  Pastor Dayton Brattin will conduct the services.  Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Thursday at Mission Baptist Church in Washburn.
