Her early years were spent in Ft. Worth, TX area, where she attended elementary school and graduated from Diamond Hill High School.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics at TCU.  Later, she went on to acquire a Master’s degree at William Woods University in curriculum, which laid the foundation for her dedication to teaching. Her love for children and her artistic talents were intertwined as she invested in early childhood development, to junior high and high school education.  Her creative abilities were put on display through her detailed bulletin boards for many, and the atmosphere she cultivated for the youth in her classrooms.
