Ramona Jean Helker, age 62, of Monett, Missouri

            Ramona Jean Helker, age 62, of Monett, Missouri passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at her home.

            She was born March 31, 1961 in Groom, Texas the daughter of Jimmy and Cora La Verne (Barlow) Bivens.

            Surviving are one son, Jeffrey Helker and his wife Floretta of King George, Virginia; one daughter, Jennifer Edwards and her husband Matt of Little Elm, Texas; nine grandchildren, Colton, Amelia, Brynne, Austin, Zoie, Kadie, Emily, Mason and Drew; her mother, Cora La Verne Key and step father Kenneth Key of Purdy, Missouri, three sisters, Brenda Schulz of Joplin, Missouri, Teresa Baker and her husband Charles of Joplin, Missouri and Sonia Derrick of Springfield, Missouri and special friend, Fairy Essary.

            Preceding her in death were her father, Jimmy Bivens and two brothers, Jay Bivens and Walter “Len” Schulz.

            Ramona grew up and attended school in Purdy, Missouri graduating from Purdy High School in 1979. She enjoyed her job as a waitress and bantering back and forth with her regular customers. Marbles and glass shoes were favorites in her collectables, she was always looking to add to her collection when going to garage sales. One of her passions was helping people however she could. She loved playing with children and babies but most of all she loved her family.

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Mike Geisert will conduct the services.
