Norman Elmer Vogel was born on June 12,1942 in Knightstown, Indiana

Norman Elmer Vogel was born on June 12,1942 in Knightstown, Indiana.  He spent much of his childhood in Indiana before moving to Texas.  He graduated high school at Price Memorial College, in Amarillo, TX. He then attended Amarillo College.  He went on to become a Radiology Technologist at St. Anthony’s Hospital, in Amarillo.  He graduated with a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, at Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, MI.  Later, he also earned a degree in Ultrasound Technology at Independence Regional Health Center, in Independence, MO.  His career culminated at Skaggs Community Hospital, in Branson, MO, where he was the Director of Radiology. 

Norman was much more than his career.  He was a devoted husband to Rosalie Ann (Baker) who he married on June 5, 1965 (6/5/65) at St. Mary’s Church, in Amarillo,TX.  He was a loving father to Nichele, Necia and Natalie and an amazing grandpa to 15 grandchildren.  He had many talents including woodworking, landscaping, gardening, and making jewelry.  He was also a thrill seeker and enjoyed motorcycle racing and drag racing.  He enjoyed fishing and taught his daughters and grandchildren how to fish.  He also enjoyed horses & boating.  He loved watching sports and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He involved his children and grandchildren in everything he did. He cherished every moment with his family, especially time with his grandchildren.  Norman was also an ordained pastor and he freely passed on to others, the love and grace of God he had received. 

He entered into rest on March 2, 2022 at his home in Forsyth, MO at the age of 79.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents Norbert “Joe” & Nova (Higginbotham) Vogel; brother Jim Vogel and sisters, Betty Loyd, Wanda Findora and Norberta Urenda.

He leaves behind his wife Rosalie Ann Vogel of Forsyth, daughter Nichele Elise Markes, her husband Gerry of Kirbyville and their children Olivia & William; daughter, Necia Beth Raley, her husband Rodney of Branson and their children Audrie, Lindsey, Isaac and Madison; and daughter Natalie Rosanne Young, her husband Zach of Springfield and their children Joshua, Miracle, Destiny, Jasmine, Bennett, Norman Anthony, Roger, Andrew and Liberty Nova-Nichele.
