Ned Wilson Hiatt, 83, of Hollister, Missouri.

Ned Wilson Hiatt, 83, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away on March 6, 2024. He was born September 5, 1940, in Ottawa, Kansas and lived most of his life outside Lyndon, Kansas, before retiring in Hollister.

Ned married Joyce Forbes in 1973. They remained together until her passing in 2007, and he remained devoted to her until the end. Ned loved being with his family and his friends. He loved cooking, camping, loud music, fishing, woodworking, telling stories, and having fun. Ned could make anything fun and made friends wherever he went.

Ned owned and operated RV dealerships in Kansas and Missouri for thirty-five years but was best known for owning and operating Ned Hiatt’s Country Sales near Lake Pomona Kansas. His legacy lives on through all he met including the dozens of employees and hundreds of customers that he included among his family and friends.

Ned was preceded in death by his parents: John Vertel Hiatt and Erma Mae Hiatt; his baby sister; and his wife, Joyce Janette Hiatt.

Survivors include his brother, John Terence Hiatt and his wife, Carol; daughter, Barbara Dorothy (Jim); daughter, Janet Hammer (Dennis); son, Todd Hiatt; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024, with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Cremations of the Ozarks, 115 Industrial Park Drive, with Pastor Todd Johnson officiating. A Celebration of Life will also be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday April 13, 2024, at Grace Community Fellowship, 501 S. Popular Street, Ottawa, Kansas.
