Naomi Myrtle Fielding, age 93, Washburn, Missouri

Naomi Myrtle Fielding, age 93, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Missouri.

            She was born in Washburn, Missouri on May 15, 1930, the daughter of Leon and Laura Myrl (Erwin) Stewart. On October 2, 1949, in Washburn, Missouri she was united in marriage to James Arthur Fielding, who preceded her in death on March 29, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Richard Fielding and her stepmother, Faye Valentine (Watson) Stewart.

            Surviving is one son, Randy Fielding of Washburn, Missouri; one daughter, Rhonda Brown of Seligman, Missouri; one sister, Patsy Roller of Seligman, Missouri; four grandchildren, Renae Fields and her husband Dale, Arthur Brown and his wife Mechelle, Erica Coats and her husband Patrick and Jazmin Fielding and nine great-grandchildren.

            Naomi grew up and attended school in Washburn, Missouri graduating from Washburn High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and also babysat children for 25 years. Naomi enjoyed quilting, embroidery, making Raggedy Ann dolls, crossword and word search puzzles and bluegrass music, she traveled to many festivals. She was a member of Ok Mission Baptist Church.

            Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Jim Erwin and Reverend Glenn Erwin will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Naomi.
