Mrs. Clota M. Coats, 92, Forsyth went to be with her Lord on Dec. 29, 2023. There are no services at this time, burial will be held later. Cremation was under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
Clota Mae Coats was born Mar. 22, 1931, in Archer City, Texas to R.L. and Vonnie (Davis) Moody. She was cremated under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
Clota moved to the Forsyth area from Henrietta, TX., to be closer to her family. She was blessed with two children. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Clota was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Henrietta, TX. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a distributor for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She did well for Mary Kay earning a pink Cadillac.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Jack Boyd and Clay Horn, one sister LaVern Stedman and one brother Rayford Moody.
Clota Coats is survived by her two children Mark Boyd (Kathy) of Forsyth; Molly Hull of Denton, TX, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
