Mary Margaret Ward, age 84, Branson, Missouri

Celebration of life service for Mary Ward, Branson, will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 1 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Burial will follow in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Mrs. Ward entered into rest on June 11, at the Pt. Lookout Nursing and Rehab, Hollister.

Mary Margaret Ward was born Mar. 28, 1939 at Reeds Spring, Mo., one of eighteen children.  She was the daughter of Harry Simmons and Mary Lavina (Palmer) Hazell.  She graduated in 1957 from Branson High School. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Ward, on Nov. 17, 1959 at the Old Stone Church in Branson. They had celebrated 44 years together before his passing in 2004. 

She was a loving wife and mother, enjoyed being from a large family, liked cats, art, gardening, putting together puzzles, playing scrabble, coffee and the casinos.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, siblings Vernon, Alva, Ian, Edward, Dwight, Donald, Thornton, Lois, Iva, Betty, Evelyn, Sylvia, Dee, Pauline and Phyllis.

She is survived by her daughters Rebecca “Becky” Kennedy, Sacramento, CA.; Ramona Zamudio, Bellville, TX.; Thelma Taylor, Conway, Mo.; Mary Ann Fields, Cassville, Mo.; and Crystal Ward of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters Jean of Branson and Dottie of Hollister, ten grandchildren Adam, Grant, Scott, David, Savannah, Jesse, Dale “DK”, Jordan, Alexandra, Hannah and numerous great grandchildren.
