Martin Eugene Heston, age 62, of Cassville, Missouri

Martin Eugene Heston, age 62, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his home.

            He was born January 30, 1961 in Osceola, Iowa to Franklin Eugene and Myrna Floy (Querrey) Heston. On October 6, 1995 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Angela Kay Brown, who survives. Also surviving are his mother and step-father, Myrna Buehler and Charles Ray; two sons, Marques Eugene Heston of Cassville, Missouri and Courtlon Jay Heston of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Kimberly Dea Anfinson and her husband Marty of Purdy, Missouri; one brother, Franklin Heston and his wife Sonya of Holiday Island, Arkansas; one sister, Marla Simpson and her husband Jeff of Rogers, Arkansas; one step-brother, Wesley Buehler and his wife Dani of Clever, Missouri; one step-sister, Stephanie Schaffer and her husband Jamie of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Riley, Dylan, Ashton, Angeli and Alexandria and one great-grandaughter, Maya.

            Preceding him in death were his father, Franklin Eugene Heston; one brother, Jeffrey Heston and his grandparents.

            Martin graduated from Cassville High School in 1979 and attended Missouri Southern State College for a short time. For 24 years he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Cassville, Missouri and later as postmaster at Eagle Rock, Missouri from where he retired. Martin enjoyed playing basketball, bowling and his dogs. He liked to stay busy, so he was always doing something. Martin was always available for his family at all times. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he was baptized November 2, 1980.

            Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Henry Long will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church in memory of Martin.
