Martha Jane Parmenter, 79, Forsyth, Missouri

Celebration of life services for Martha Jane Parmenter, 79, Forsyth, will be held Thursday, Sept. 7 at 10 AM at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel.  Pastor Miller will officiate.  Burial being held at a later date in the New Hope Cemetery, Solo, Mo . Mrs. Parmenter entered into rest on Sept. 5, 2023 at Cox Medical Branson.  

Martha Jane Parmenter was born July 9, 1944, in Treat, Ark.   She was the daughter of Arthur and Walice (Davis) Phillips, she was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Reed. She had attended elementary school at Van Buren, Ark. and attended high school at School of the Ozarks from which she graduated in 1963.  

She was a home decorator for forty-six years with JC Penny and Bass Pro Shops in Springfield. She was a woman of many talents, very talented very creative and many talents were learned by trial and error.   She married Lonnie Parmenter on Nov. 30, 1963, at Tyrone, Mo.   They had celebrated fifty-nine years together this past fall.  Lonnie and Jane were blessed with two children to this union.

They had moved to the Forsyth area from Springfield, Mo. and had lived in Forsyth for over thirty years. Celebration

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John H. Phillips.

Jane is survived by her loving husband Lonnie Parmenter of the home; her children Jim Parmenter (Terri) of Rogersville, Mo; Lisa Krueger (Kurt) of Monett, Mo., sisters  Mattie Woodring, Rogers, Ark; Dollie McDonald, Springdale, Ark; Leonia Bishop, Morrilton, Ark; Rose-Mary & Wade Tollous, Dardanelle, Ark; brothers Charles C. Phillips, Vivan, OK; Thomas-Joe Phillips, Clarksville, Ark; Jerry Phillips wife Rhonda, Dardanelle, Ark; James Phillips, Jonesboro, Ark; Bill-Terry Phillips, London Ark; three grandchildren Alaina Parmenter, Anna Krueger and Emily Gollhofer (Brett), also numerous nieces and nephews .
