Laura Lucille Scott, age 87, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri.
She was born June 17, 1934 in Washburn, Missouri, the daughter of William and Ruby (Pendergraft) Ruark. On October 30, 1961 in Dodge City, Kansas she was united in marriage to Ben Scott, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Kenneth Scott of Washburn, Missouri; one daughter, Carolyn Tiedeman and her husband John of Washburn, Missouri; five grandchildren, Laura Burton, Chris Hess, Lisa Skelton, Scott Stephens and Niki Masteller and twelve great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Lorna Kay Hess; two brothers, Roy Ruark and Ray Ruark and two sisters, May Tilford and Mary Scott.
After attending school in Exeter, Missouri, Laura traveled with her husband following the pipeline he worked on. Later she and Ben purchased and operated Scott’s Drive-In in Osceola, Missouri. After selling the drive-in Ben went back to working the pipeline, Laura went with him until he retired, as she loved traveling and seeing the country. Favorite pastimes were painting and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services. Burial will be at Roach Cemetery in Eagle Rock.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
