Kathryn Jo “Kathy” Beck, age 83, of Cassville, Missouri

Kathryn Jo “Kathy” Beck, age 83, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home.

            She was born November 16, 1939 in Springfield, Colorado the daughter of Lloyd Richard and Rena (Powell) Ward. On December 22, 1955 in Springfield, Colorado she was united in marriage to E. Bennett Beck, who preceded her in death on March 4, 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Wade; two brothers, Lloyd Ward and Richard Ward and one sister, Nancy Henbest.

            Surviving are two sons, Mike Beck and his wife Patsy of Exeter, Missouri and Kent Beck and his wife Lana of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Valerie Martin of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Gordona Robbe and her husband Bill of Pueblo, Colorado; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren with one on the way.

            Kathy grew up in Springfield, Colorado and attended Springfield Colorado High School. She moved to Cassville, Missouri in 1977 from Branson, Missouri. At a young age she bowled, was involved in Girl Scouts, 4-H and was a former president of the former group Al-Anon which was a support group for families.  She was employed by Justin Boot in Cassville as a repair technician from where she retired in 2000. She loved crocheting, collecting angels, taking pictures and cooking, she was well known for her Christmas candy and her Sunday morning sourdough biscuits and gravy. Kathy loved to help people as she was a giver but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Horner Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Ralph Hilburn will conduct the services.

            The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
