Kathryn J. Braden, age 84 of Bradleyville, Missouri

Services for Kathryn J. Braden, 84 of Bradleyville, will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the White River Association building in Taneyville.  Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Visitation will be Saturday evening, August 19, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth.

Mrs. Braden entered into Glory on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Kathryn Jo Brumfield was born October 31, 1938 at Rueter, MO to Chad and Verna (Day) Brumfield.  She attended both Bryant Ridge and Forsyth Schools graduating from Forsyth. She married Richard Braden in 1956 and to this union were born three children, Sherry, Chuck, and Kim.

“Kate” was a member of multiple organizations with the most dear to her being the Taney County Republican Women’s Club/MFRW Missouri Federation and the Taney County Soil and Water Conservation District/Mo R.C.D.

Preceding Kathryn in death was her brother Dick Brumfield, her parents, Chad and Verna Brumfield, and grandson Chad Yeary.

Surviving her are her husband Richard Braden, daughters Sherry (Mike) Yeary; Kim (Joe) Gideon, and son Chuck Braden. Grandchildren are Myka (Andy) Braschler, Christian Gideon, Dylan (Savannah) Gideon, Jayme (Shane) Clinkenbeard, and five great-grandchildren Masen Gideon, Grady Gideon, Creek Clinkenbeard, Reese Gideon, and Silas Gideon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made for Kathryn’s late brother’s nursing scholarship fund.
