Katherene Ilene Parker, age 80, Branson, Missouri

Katherene Ilene Parker, age 80, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away March 3, 2023, with family by her side. She entered this life February 18, 1943, the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Piercefield) Cross. Katherene was joined in marriage to her soulmate, Euel Parker on September 28, 1963.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Euel Parker; two brothers: Jimmy Cross and Bobby Cross; and granddaughter, Madeline Parker.

With a heart for service, Katherene taught for the Putnam City Elementary School system for thirty-two years and was a member of Cherokee Hills Baptist church, where she served on the card committee, Whiz Kids (tutoring program) and donated much time. Katherene loved flowers and participated as an active member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed cooking, gathering for luncheons with teacher friends, and devoting Sunday dinners as family time. Katherene was a wonderful mom, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Katherene is survived by her children: Bobigene (Richard) Fent of Branson, Missouri, Tracy Parker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ramey McMurray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Chelsea Parker, Brighton Fent, and Bella Fent; and great-grandson, Danny.
