Judy Ann Acree

Judy Ann Acree, 79, of Forsyth, Missouri

Judy Ann Acree, 79, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. She was born on December 31, 1946, in Marshall, Arkansas, to Lester A. and Edna (Massey) Henry.

Judy grew up in Marshall, Arkansas, where she attended school and graduated. On September 19, 1963, she married the love of her life, Don Acree, in Marshall. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, laughter, and countless memories, celebrating 62 years of marriage together last fall. Judy and Don spent most of their married life in Oklahoma before eventually making their home in Missouri.

Throughout her life, Judy worked as a bank teller and later in customer service for a telephone company. She enjoyed shopping and cooking, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

Judy was the heart of her family—the family rock and, without question, the boss. She always had something to say and never hesitated to give her opinion. She was strong-willed, outspoken, and fiercely protective of the people she loved. Her family knew exactly where she stood, and they loved her for it.

Judy loved and lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She rarely, if ever, missed an event involving one of her kids or grandkids. Being a grandmother and great-grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life.

She was happiest when her home was full of family. Judy loved hosting and cooking, and she had a way of making sure nobody ever left her house hungry. She made the best chicken and dumplings and cinnamon rolls, and she had an undeniable love for all things sweet.

Her mornings wouldn't have been complete without her decaffeinated coffee. She loved to sit and slurp her piping hot coffee. She was also always ornery and loved being a prankster, keeping her family laughing and keeping them on their toes.

Judy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved going to the casino, loved the beach, loved cooking, and most of all, loved having her family close. Her home, her kitchen, and her family were where she was happiest.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply, but who will carry her memory, her traditions, her lessons, and her love with them for generations to come.

Judy is survived by her husband, Don Acree; her daughter, Libby Boyer; her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jo Acree; her brothers, Steve (Missy) Henry, Roy Henry, Jerry (Calin) Henry, Shorty (Iantha) Henry; and her sister, Marilyn (Bill) Blair. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Lacey (Alan) Acuff, and their children, Liam and Emmy; her grandson, Boone (Amy) Boyer, and their children, Brooke and Brighten; and her grandsons, Jonny and James.

Her family finds comfort knowing that although she is no longer here beside them, the love she gave so freely will never leave them. Her laughter, her stubbornness, her ornery ways, her cooking, her stories, and especially the love she had for her family will live on through every generation she helped shape.

She was the rock of her family, the boss of the bunch, the one who always had something to say, and the one who could always be counted on. She was deeply loved, fiercely remembered, and will be missed more than words can ever say.

Judy's earthly journey may have come to an end, but her legacy lives on in the family she loved so completely.
